Dr. Omar Gailani
Dr Omar Gailani is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Capital Women’s Health in Deakin. Dr Gailani provides private obstetric care from his practice rooms and delivery at Calvary John James Hospital. Dr Gailani offers ultrasound scans at every antenatal visit, complete with take home baby pictures captured on a complimentary USB thumb drive. Dr Gailani offers the Colposcopy and Urodynamic clinic at Capital Women’s Health, where he uses the most up-to-date digital colposcope and urodynamics equipment. Dr Gailani is a staff specialist at the Canberra Hospital and a visiting Specialist at Moruya Hospital in NSW.
With extensive experience in obstetrics and gynaecology in remote rural and urban Australia and New Zealand Dr Gailani is well qualified to care for all patient needs including high risk obstetrics, and all aspects of gynaecology including pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. Dr Gailani has undertaken advanced training in laparoscopic surgery and urogynaecology at the Lyell McEwin Hospital in Adelaide and completed training courses and workshops in Australia and Europe for advanced surgical techniques in pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence to insure that he remains engaged in the most progressive practice of medicine. Dr Gailani also has a teaching role at the ANU.
